Where would you like to play?
Our UK-wide focus includes big cities, smaller towns and rural areas. The places below are examples to help you describe your area, not a list of live communities or confirmed launch locations. If yours isn’t mentioned, you can still enter it in the waitlist form.
England
London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sheffield, Nottingham and Bristol.
For a useful local match, think about your side of the city and how far you’d travel, rather than just the nearest major place name.
Scotland
Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, Stirling, Inverness and St Andrews.
If you split your golf between a home area and occasional trips, register the town where you’d most often like a regular playing partner.
Wales
Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Wrexham and Bangor, alongside towns and communities throughout Wales.
Add your own town rather than a distant city if that better describes where you play. Your free time matters as much as your location.
Northern Ireland
Belfast, Derry/Londonderry, Lisburn, Newry, Bangor and Portrush.
Be specific where place names overlap: for example, “Bangor, Northern Ireland”. That helps distinguish interest in different areas.
Choose a useful home area
Enter a town or city in the form, with a county or nation if it helps distinguish the name. We don’t need your street address. Choose the place where you expect to play regularly, even if you sometimes travel further for a special round.
On launch, a practical golf connection will depend on more than distance. Experience, availability and the kind of round both people enjoy matter too. That’s why the waitlist asks about your game and offers optional weekday, evening and weekend preferences.
What UK-wide interest means today
The waitlist is open to golfers across the UK. The BogeyBuddy app is still in development: there are no live player listings, guaranteed local matches or announced launch dates on this site. Initial coverage will be confirmed separately.
Joining records your interest and consent to receive launch and early-access updates. It doesn’t reserve a tee time, create an app account or guarantee an invitation on a particular date. If your town is small, your interest is still useful.
Find a playing partner while you wait
You don’t have to put your golf on hold. Ask a local course about social rounds or beginner groups, or look for a golf society whose schedule suits yours. Check visitor requirements and any costs directly with the organiser.
Our guide to finding local golf partners gives you a specific invitation you can adapt. If you’re just starting, read about beginner-friendly golf buddies. If you already have a group, use our fourball checklist to get a round organised.
